Overview
When patching stops making sense
Every driveway reaches a point where sealing and patching stop helping. Cracks run end to end, edges crumble, low spots hold water and frost heave lifts sections out of line. At that point the best value is a new surface on a corrected base. We remove the old asphalt or concrete, fix the soft spots and drainage problems that caused the failure, and pave a fresh driveway that's smooth from the street to the garage.
Replacement is also the right time to make the driveway work better for you. Widen it for a second car, add a parking pad for the camper, extend it to a pole barn or straighten out a curve that never made sense. We'll sketch options at the estimate and price them clearly, so you can choose what's worth it.

FAQ
Driveway Paving questions
More answers on our FAQ page, or call (574) 350-4142.
Can you pave over my old asphalt instead of tearing it out?
If the existing driveway is structurally sound with only surface wear, an overlay can be a good option and costs less. If it's broken up, heaving or soft, paving over it just copies the problems into the new surface, so removal is the better investment.
Can you replace a concrete driveway with asphalt?
Yes. We break out and haul away the concrete, repair the base and pave with asphalt. Asphalt generally costs less to install and handles freeze-thaw cycles and road salt well when it's maintained.
Do I need to be home while you pave?
Not necessarily. We'll walk the job with you before we start and after we finish. Just make sure vehicles are out of the garage and off the driveway, because you won't be able to drive on it for a couple of days.
